About our Patient Liaison Group

The PLG is designed to act as a bridge between all members of the Practice and their patients, with the aim of improving the health of the local community.

The PLG meets four times per year at the West Street Health Centre, with local clinicians and administrative staff, where general issues are raised and proposed developments discussed in order that the views of the patients are taken into consideration.

The group also takes an active interest in developments in NHS and linked services both locally and nationally and provides an opportunity for patients of the Aspatria Medical Group to have a voice in decision making.

In addition, the PLG promotes wellbeing and those healthy lifestyle choices which then have a positive impact on the local community.

The PLG is currently inactive. We are keen to recruit new members, particularly from underrepresented groups – younger patients, parents of small children and those with caring responsibilities. However, anyone with an interest in furthering the aims of the PLG would be welcome.

If you feel you would be able to commit a few hours per year then please complete online form or speak to the Practice manager
